Aug. 21, 2008 – PHILADELPHIA – Rose M. Cummings, D.O., has been named Pediatric Cardiologist at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. Previously, Dr. Cummings was an assistant professor of pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine and a pediatric cardiologist at Sibley Heart Center Cardiology in Atlanta.
After receiving her medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Cummings completed her postgraduate training at Children’s Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Emory University.
Dr. Cummings then received her Board Certification from the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Cummings was medical director of Camp Braveheart, an annual camp for children and teens with congenital and acquired heart defects organized by Children’s Healthcare. In addition, she volunteered for multiple medical mission trips to Latin America to care for children with heart disease.
