St. Christopher’s Signs New Agreement with MultiPlan
 
 

Philadelphia – July 10, 2008 – St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children announced today that it has signed a multi-year agreement with MultiPlan, Inc. that includes participation in the PHCS (formerly Private Healthcare Systems) network. The new agreement, which includes the hospital and its outpatient services, began July 1.  Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.  

“We look forward to continuing to serve the patients who are members of the PHCS network,” said Bernadette Mangan chief executive officer of St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children “Our hospital provides these patients with a wide array of programs and services designed to meet their health care needs including neonatal intensive care, pediatric cardiology, transplant services and a dedicated pediatric burn center.”

St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children provides a wide range of pediatric medical and surgical specialties through its affiliation with Drexel University College of Medicine. With a medical staff of more than 270 pediatric specialists, the hospital is a Regional Level I Pediatric Trauma Center offering programs such as kidney and liver transplantation, minimally invasive surgery and open heart surgery. Part of Tenet Pennsylvania, St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
